Reiki is a Japanese healing technique used to reduce stress and increase relaxation. This can be done in person by hovering the hands over the body or with a light touch. However, because Reiki uses universal life force energy, it can be sent over any distance from the practitioner to the client. It always finds its way. The life force energy is what flows through us, connecting us to the universe, bringing us to life, and helping to make our body function properly. If our life force energy is low or blocked at one or more of our chakras, we are more likely to get sick or feel stressed.  We can also hold built up negative energy from our emotions in our body or our energy field that Reiki can help release. Sometimes during a Reiki session, Spirit will come and assist in the healing process.
