Finding Balance with Water

Water is a wonderful thing! It helps balance us physically, mentally and spiritually.

Physically, staying properly hydrated allows our bodies to stay in balance and function optimally. Our bodies are 55%- 60% water.

Keeping your body hydrated can help with flushing out toxins, lubricating your joints, aiding in weight loss, decreasing bad breathe, keeping the skin moist, proper blood flow and heart rate... the list can go on! Bottom line....drink your water! The general rule of thumb for keeping your body hydrated is to consume half your body weight in fluid ounces daily.

Mentally, staying well hydrated increases mental cognition. When you are dehydrated, it makes it hard to concentrate and can lead to what people call "brain fog". Proper water intake can keep your brain more alert and help boost your mood as well.

Spiritually, water is cleansing to your energy. Taking a bath/shower in the evening helps clear your energetic field from all the extra energy you may have picked up throughout the day that may not belong to you. This helps to raise your vibration and connect with your spirit. Swimming in the ocean can have an even stronger effect because of the salt content and standing in the rain is also a very powerful cleanser. They can both not only help cleanse your energy, but reconnect you with the earth...making you feel more connected with your body, mind and spirit.

So remember, to find balance, keep up your hydration and get in some water!
